Structure of our project
The entire project has a total duration of 20 weeks. The students of the 4th semester get their first practical insights into the field of project work in the bachelor's program Non-Profit, Social and Health Management. With two keynotes from two Philosophicums at Management Center Innsbruck on the topics of "How to agree on goals" and "Representation of interests", the students came a little closer to the basic structure of the project. By working together, both the project partner and the students, who are given space to design a real project, gain added value. From the very beginning of the project, a Code of Conduct was used to formulate rules of behavior within the group as well as with the partner. With the help of a project order and a Gantt-chart, the schedule and content of the project became slightly clearer. All students of the Social Management major will present their topic in a self-designed virtual course in order to pass on the collected knowledge to fellow students. The continuous research work throughout the entire project provides comprehensive knowledge of the subject. The initial situation is first analyzed with the help of the quantitative research process and further qualitative research is carried out in the form of questionnaires and expert interviews. Combined with a discussion of literature, this provides information on the achievement of the project's objectives.
HOW DO WE SUPPORT
The main task of the project is to identify the customer group with the greatest sales potential. We would like to support Ouroots in this goal by developing a strategy to sell more straws on the European market. The real option analysis, concerning business investment and growth opportunities, represents connection between innovation theory and our project. In order to develop such strategy, it is essential to find out under what conditions potential buyers would be interested to buy these straws. Our research should provide information on which potential buyers it makes sense to concentrate on (e.g. retail, gastronomy, households).
our team
Our team consists of four motivated, reliable and very well working members, who cooperate to bring an added value to the partner organization. Although each one of us has her own role, every single member of the team works equally hard to fulfill our mission.

Josephine Dickopf
"My interest in development cooperation grew as a child, which is why I started recruiting members for aid organizations when I was 16. I realized early that it is not fair that the course of life depends very much on where you were born and did not just want to rest on my luck of being born in a wealthy country. This sense of equality and the fun of solving problems quickly made it clear to me that the topic of development cooperation was very interesting for me. I have always been excited about being involved in the creation and development process of projects, which is why a start-up in a developing country is a particularly interesting challenge for me."
Luisa Storz
"A critical illumination of all events is necessary in order to weigh up all possible scenarios that may occur within a project work. I see my greatest strength in critical reflection of project work. I conscientiously reflect problems that may occur and try to find solutions by thinking aloud. My open communication helps considerably to lead discussions, which are essential in problem solving processes. I have learned how much interaction is needed for the implementation of a project work, which is why I consider the area of communication to be even more important than I thought before the project work."
Lara Krüger
"I like to read and to explore other countries to learn about their culture. In my free time I like to be creative and to travel in the nature. I am fascinated by how to replace seemingly irreplaceable polluting substances with creativity and new ideas with natural raw materials. It is this creativity that I admire in the founders of Ouroots, that has moved me to want to support this project with my work."
Anna Koktanová
"In my free time I deal intensively with questions of international politics, humanitarian aid or development work. I am also a member of several nonprofit organizations that operate in different areas of society. Strengths that qualify me for our project are definitely my language skills. I can also pursue some of my interests in this project, especially in the area of ecology and sustainability."
